The European Media Management Education Association (emma) is an international not-for-profit organisation that was founded in 2003 in response to the dramatic growth in media management courses and programmes at higher education institutions throughout Europe.
Its goals are fourfold:
EMMA has two types of members. Individual members are individuals active in media management education and research. Institutional members are drawn from university departments, institutes or programs, media companies, and organizations that provide media management education an whose activities are located in Europe. Institutional membership entitles the institution to enlist up to ten participants in EMMA, and an allocation of three votes at the AGM (individual members have one vote).
