The emma Board welcomes applications to host its bi-annual Doctoral Summer School in 2023. The Summer School usually lasts between three and five days and provides a supportive and international setting in which doctoral researchers in the field of media management can exchange knowledge with peers, senior scholars and potentially industry delegates. By presenting and discussing their PhD research projects, participants can further develop their understanding of the respective subject matter, the wider scholarship and the practical context of the media industries.
Another aim of the Summer School is to help young researchers to improve their presentation and writing skills. Additionally, it provides an ideal setting in which to network with other senior academics in the field.
emma Summer Schools were previously organised in Jönköping, Pamplona, Lisboa, Bournemouth, Zurich and Wilhelmshaven.
