MMA Annual Assembly and Conference The 2006 EMMA Annual Assembly and Conference took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, 31st March to April 1st, hosted by Robert Picard.

Speakers from the academic side as well as of the industry gave insight into the issue of “Digitization, multimedia and convergence – challenges to the media industry” – see the program on this website and also the copies of the presentations in the member only section. The annual assembly decided on various initiatives: The EMMA members will build up a Media Management/ Media Economics (MM) knowledge base in the member only section of this website. Amongst others it will contain information on MM courses of studies in Europe, materials on workshops and conferences. It will also serve to intensify the exchange of ideas and materials between members. Each week of this year one member will initiate a discussion on a MM topic on the EMMA blog. Project groups will evaluate the idea for two further initiatives: a European EMMA Award in the field of MM, starting from awards by country, and the establishment of a European Summer School for MM bringing together students from various countries.
