Britta Gossel your new membership representative on the JOMBS board

We are delighted to inform you that Britta Gossel has now fully taken office as our new emma representative on the board of our flagship journal, the Journal of Media Business Studies

Britta Gossel serves as your main contact person for any JOMBS-related questions, including your online subscriptions that are included in your emma membership. In her new role as emma Associate Editor, Britta represents the interests of the emma members on the JOMBS board. She will also lead the editorial process for the upcoming emma special issues in the journal. In her role as emma Associate Editor, she will closely cooperate on the JOMBS board with the journal’s Editor Leona Achtenhagen and the two Co-Editors, Bjørn von Rimscha and Ulrike Rohn. 

Britta M. Gossel is a post-doctoral research associate at the Technische Universität Ilmenau in Germany. Her research focus lies on media entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education (focus on STEM and media/journalism). She is/has been active in research and teaching in Germany (Otto-Friedrich Universität Bamberg, Universität Erfurt, Fachhochschule Erfurt) and abroad (Jönköping International Business School (Sweden), Leeds Beckets University (UK), Tallinn University (Estonia)). Currently, Britta is fellow of the Hans Weisser Stipendium (2019-2021), which supports her in doing research on entrepreneurship education in STEM / Media in higher education in five countries (IRL, UK, AUS, USA, CAN). In 2018, she received the Matthijs Hammer Award for the most innovative researcher from the European Council for Small Business. Previously, she was among others active as spokeswomen for a MEP in the European Parliament (Brussels / Straßbourg).

Britta takes the role of emma Associate Editor to the Journal from Päivi Maijanen from LUT University in Finland, who reached her term limit in this role. We want to thank Päivi for her great work on the JOMBS board!
