“Thinking back to the EMMA conference in Jönköping immediately puts a smile on my face for various reasons: It was, first of all, wonderfully organized, with interesting and matching panel presentations and discussions and valuable academic exchange, surrounded by the EMMA spirit of mutual support and friendliness (those who know, know 😊). After many of us have worked from home for over a year, the EMMA conference in Sweden was the first international conference where people could actually get together again, and you could sense that everyone was extremely happy about that. I am very grateful for having been part of it – grateful also for the travel grant! – and for having caught up with friends from all over the world, while also making new connections. The conference was a whole package, one of the highlights clearly being the gala dinner at a beautiful castle. Participating at the Saturday social and learning something about the area and Swedish culture was the perfect end to a great conference. A big thank you goes out to the organizing team, and I am already looking forward to hopefully get together again soon.”
